This workshop explored applications of AI within ecology and biodiversity research, bringing together researchers to share experiences, generate ideas and establish new collaborations.
Testimonials
“The workshop provided an excellent opportunity to meet potential future collaborators.”
“Participants particularly enjoyed learning how AI is already being applied to ecological research across different groups.”
Impact and Outcomes
Connections established through the workshop led to the development of a proposal submitted to the NERC/ESRC Data, Evidence and Action (DFA) for Environmental Sustainability programme under the Environmental Evidence Synthesis call. If successful, the proposal would support the creation of 30 doctoral studentships, demonstrating the workshop's potential to generate substantial long-term research and training opportunities in the area of AI and biodiversity research.
