AIBIO-UK ‘Bridging AI & Biosciences One‑Day’ Workshop – Highlights
The AIBIO-UK ‘Bridging AI & Biosciences’ workshop, held in Bristol on 13 January 2026, was a fantastic success, bringing together researchers and early‑career scientists for a day of vibrant discussion on the future of AI in the life sciences. We extend our thanks to all speakers, panel chairs, organisers, and especially Professor Lucia Marucci (AIBIO-UK) for her leadership, as well as to BBSRC and our partners for their invaluable support.
To extend the impact of the Bristol workshop, we are delighted to share a new live‑panel podcast episode recorded on the day, hosted by Kieren Sharma (Artificially Ever After Podcast, University of Bristol) and Andrew Page (MicroBinfie podcast, Origin Sciences) and featuring leading voices in AI‑driven biology. The episode distils the workshop’s most insightful discussions and brings them to the wider bioscience and AI communities, reflecting AIBIO‑UK’s mission to connect people, share expertise, and accelerate the responsible use of AI in the life sciences. By capturing these conversations and making them accessible to all, we’re ensuring that the ideas, challenges, and opportunities raised in Bristol continue to spark momentum across the UK and beyond.
