19-20th May 2025
A huge thank you to everyone who joined us at the Manchester Institute of Biotechnology and helped make the AI in the Biosciences (AIBIO-UK) BBSRC Network 2nd Annual General Meeting such a success!
From inspiring keynote talks (Alejandro Frangi, Howard Salis, Conor Houghton, Samuel Kaski, Caitlin Bentley, Carole Goble) to engaging panel discussions (Dimitra Georgiadou, Simon Parsons, Elizabeth Black, Daniela Hensen, Adriano Gualandi), hands-on MATLAB training session (George Amarantidis: MathWorks), thought-provoking poster presentations, invaluable industry insights (Bruno Trentini: NVIDIA), and a fantastic networking dinner at Manchester Museum. The event truly showcased the strength and enthusiasm of the AI-Biosciences community.
We’ve heard wonderful feedback from attendees who found it insightful, collaborative, and a great opportunity to connect with like-minded professionals!
None of this would have been possible without the enthusiasm and dedication of everyone involved! Special thanks to Raymond Wan, Stuart Pirnie, and Nicole Lai (Manchester Institute of Biotechnology) for their outstanding help and administrative support, and to Enna Bartlett (Communications and Marketing Manager – MIB) for capturing the conference so beautifully with her incredible photography.
We look forward to many more exciting collaborations ahead!
