We hosted a hands-on workshop focused on Responsible Innovation (RI) for Bioscience and AI projects.
Understanding RI means conducting research and innovation that anticipates future impacts on people and the environment, aiming to maximise benefits and minimise risks. RI is a BBSRC priority, essential for funding applications to show RI embedded throughout projects. We also raised and discussed issues to do with Trusted Research in AI and Bioscience projects.
During the workshop, we introduced RI Prompts and Practice Cards to help bridge the gap between RI theory and practice. These tools are designed to support researchers in effectively implementing RI frameworks in their projects.
For those managing or working on BBSRC research projects, incorporating RI is crucial. Check out the RI framework here and our RI Prompts and Practice Cards here.
Thank you to everyone who joined us and contributed to the insightful discussions. Together, we are making strides in enhancing our research with RI insights!
