Participate in ASCEND: A Statement of Community Engagement and Needs for Digital Research Infrastructure

The UK Research and Innovation (UKRI) Digital Research Infrastructure (DRI) Programme has launched ASCEND: A Statement of Community Engagement and Needs for Digital Research Infrastructure. This initiative offers a valuable opportunity for the UK research and innovation community to inform UKRI about future development priorities for the nation’s digital research infrastructure.

UKRI is seeking input on urgent or anticipated DRI needs over the next five to ten years. These may include new capabilities, support for existing tools, or capacity-building efforts. Participation is open to all UK research and innovation communities. To ensure that submissions represent diverse perspectives, each statement must be co-authored by at least two individuals affiliated with different institutions or organisations.

ASCEND operates on a continuous, rolling basis. Submissions are typically reviewed quarterly by expert panels, whose recommendations will inform future actions of the DRI Programme. It is important to note that this process does not involve direct funding.

Further details and submission instructions are available here: https://engagementhub.ukri.org/ukri-infrastructure/ascend-process/
