In partnership with L2D, AIBIO-UK is offering 25 fully funded scholarships to attend L2D’s bespoke workshop programme and training course. This programme provides a comprehensive and professional framework for learning how to apply computational methods in biology, covering:
- Python fundamentals
- Data handling
- Application of classical machine learning
- Application of artificial intelligence (AI)
Participants will learn via a series of four bespoke in-person workshops that will be hosted in London, and will be given access to a wealth of written and video materials for self-paced study. L2D also offers optional, graded assignments with in-line feedback from L2D’s tutors, together with on-demand one-to-one tutor support to deal with queries and questions.
At the end of the workshop series, L2D offers a Final Project as a chance for participants to synergise and contextualise the full gamut of taught techniques and methods. These can then either be applied to sample datasets, or to their own data, giving course participants the opportunity to transfer their skills directly into their own work and research.
L2D brings many years of experience, having consistently delivered this learning programme to the London Interdisciplinary Doctoral Programme (LIDo), among many others, over the past five years.
Eligibility
The course is open to anyone working in academia, with priority given to the following groups:
